We have been filming a lot lately and hardly any of it can be considered extra or bonus so my apologies for the lack of new video content.
I received all of Cameron’s footage in the mail a couple days ago and was beyond impressed. The Killa had a full section already filmed before even going on tour so despite his injury and retirement from professional rollerblading he will be coming full force for his final section in the Six Won Six DVD.
Onto the final profile from QUO. I have grown up rollerblading with both Aut and Eric and wanted to give them both the well deserved final section on the DVD. Although the section is shared they skate to separate songs to go along with their different styles. Aut is currently finishing up his video production degree from Indiana University and Eric is supporting his future wife and son Xander by working for Adobe in Oregon.

A special thanks to Nick Amrhein for taking a few photos of us during our tour stop in Toledo, Ohio on July 9.
Mike Currier airing out of a little natural bank into another.

Don and I checking the footage of Mikey’s steezy back royale on a weird drop kink on the University of Toledo campus.
Me filming Mikey with another back royale this time on a bridge ledge.

Determined Mikey.
Mikey laced a back royale across the bridge multiple times until he got it perfect.

I just talked to Doug Card and spoke to Cameron briefly and he is being released this afternoon from the hospital and will be flying home to Utah tomorrow morning. Cameron still sounds a bit out of it due to the pain medication but is very excited to be going home. I am sure he will greatly appreciate all the posts from everyone once he gets online to read them and if you are near him in Utah be sure to stop by and see him soon.

It is 5PM on Saturday and we just got back from the hospital after Cameron’s dad arrived in Bloomington. Cameron is literally doing 1000X better than last night. He is up walking, talking, joking, laughing, coughing, spelling, flexing, fighting and causing all different kinds of trouble around the hospital. The morphine was helping the entire situation quite a bit as well. His amnesia is diminishing less and less and he was having a great conversation with Don, Mikey, Gary, Aut and myself all morning before he finally passed out again from the morphine after his dad arrived. The bleeding on his brain has stopped and it seems like surgery is no longer a possibility. He still has an unbelievably painful headache and is incredibly homesick and will be stuck in Bloomington until Tuesday at the earliest. I just wanted to let everyone know how much better he is doing but please continue to keep him in your thoughts because he will still have a painful recovery ahead of him.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but at our most recent stop on the Six Won Six
Americana Tour in Bloomington, IN, on Friday the 13th at around 5PM Cameron
Card fell, fractured his skull and three ribs. He wasn't trying anything that was beyond his skill level and nothing near the level that all of you have seen him at before. It was just a fluke accident as he was 180'ing off of a drop rail. He landed wrong, fell backwards and hit his head. Currently he is in the hospital here in Bloomington and will be for the next 3 days at a minimum. His dad is on his way and everyone on tour will remain here until he arrives.
I just returned from visiting Cameron and his two biggest struggles right now are severe pain and amnesia. He is in too much pain to speak but can write and was signing with a nurse. He doesn't remember what happened and doesn't remember much else. They are currently monitoring his cognitive functions and the bleeding on his brain to determine whether or not surgery will be necessary. As far as many of the doctors can tell at this point he will be fine and make a full recovery, however, head injuries are always scary and unpredictable.
That is all the information I have at the moment so please keep Cameron in your thoughts. Feel free to leave your words of encouragement by responding to this post.
In the meantime please take a look at some of the photos below that Cameron has taken while on tour. We were planning on posting them tonight anyway and figured I would try and give everyone a bit more to look at than just bad news.
On the road.

This one I am posting only because Cameron really wanted to post it. Me, loving life after a night of excess at St. Ours home in Akron.
